Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Effectively select, develop/maintain position specific training programs, deliver performance feedback and disciplinary action to assigned staff to promote a collaborative and motivated production environment. Conduct department meetings to communicate status on relevant items and ensure company policies are being followed.
  • Develops and maintains procedures and documentation to remain compliant with ISO 9001 standards and executes relevant training material to appropriate individuals. Organize and participate in annual ISO internal audit and participate in semi-annual external ISO audits. Responsible for leading corrective action resolution for non-compliances.
  • Collaborate with production team to identify, track, prioritize and report out in-process quality issues and defects; Develop and implement corrective actions as required. Participate in Engineering Change Notice review team and develop inspection protocols for new parts.
  • Observe production schedule and identify and resolve barriers to resolve day to day production issues to ensure customer deadlines and quality standards are met. Schedule 360 degree audits and perform quality audits as necessary.
  • Conduct scheduled safety audits, deliver safety training, and ensure employees follow established safety guidelines.
  • With key work partners to collaborate, plan and implements process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Inspect, identify and schedule repair of defective purchased components.
  • Monitor supplier product quality, inventory levels and initiate replenishment order for consumables supplies.
  • Visit customer and/or dealer locations to review Pre-Delivery Inspections and recommend appropriate resolution for customer concerns.
  • Review and approve weekly time records for assigned employees.
  • Performs other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in Production environment required, with proven track record of problemsolving skills, cost management, and highperformance team interaction.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in direct employee supervision required. Responsible for selection, performance management, and disciplinary activities for all direct reports.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential, both verbal and written, and able to work within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership capabilities with sound judgement and ability to build and maintain trusted relationships among team members.
  • Prior experience working within and maintaining formalized quality functions, including ISO 9001 and SPC highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in MRP, with ability to effectively problem solve and demonstrated cost management.
  • 35 years related work experience with exposure to Lean methodology and KANBAN pull systems environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products; Intermediate knowledge of Excel preferred.
