    Job Summary:

    We are currently seeking a Senior Beverage Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our beverage program. This role necessitates strong leadership qualities, an extensive knowledge of mixology and beverages, and a deep understanding of the upscale dining experience. The Beverage Director will collaborate closely with our culinary team to harmoniously align food and beverage offerings.

    Responsibilities:

    • Management of Beverage Program:
    • Conceive and implement a comprehensive beverage program, encompassing spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
    • Curate a diverse and top-quality beverage selection that enhances the upscale dining experience.
    • Regularly update and maintain the beverage menu, taking into account market trends, guest preferences, and seasonal variations.
    • Efficiently manage beverage inventory, including ordering, receipt, and organization of supplies.
    • Establish and enforce precise cost control measures to optimize profitability.
    • Staff Training and Development:
    • Provide beverage knowledge and service technique training to the staff, emphasizing proper pouring and presentation.
    • Conduct regular training sessions to augment product knowledge, upselling skills, and adherence to service standards.
    • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development among the beverage team.

    Vendor Relationships:

    • Cultivate and sustain relationships with beverage suppliers and distributors.
    • Negotiate favorable pricing, promotional arrangements, and exclusive offerings.
    • Stay current with industry trends, new product releases, and emerging brands.
    • Quality Control and Guest Satisfaction:
    • Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional beverage service and quality.
    • Monitor guest feedback and reviews pertaining to the beverage program, promptly addressing any concerns.
    • Collaborate with the culinary team to create harmonious food and beverage pairings that enhance the overall guest experience.

    Compliance and Safety:

    • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements relevant to beverage service.
    • Establish and uphold standard operating procedures for responsible alcohol service.
    • Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of beverage products in compliance with safety and health guidelines.

    Qualifications:

    • Extensive experience in overseeing beverage programs within upscale dining establishments.
    • Robust knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages, including familiarity with current trends and industry best practices.
    • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
    • Effective training and mentoring skills for staff development.
    • Proficiency in inventory management and cost control techniques.
    • Familiarity with local regulations and compliance related to beverage service.
    • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

    Experience:

    • In-depth understanding of Food & Beverage service protocols, with a strong background in the hospitality sector within a high-volume, upscale restaurant environment.
    • Three years of related experience in roles such as Assistant General Manager (AGM), Beverage Manager, Beverage Director, or similar positions in upscale, high-volume restaurant/bar/lounge settings.
    • Physical Demands:
    • Physical demands include light work, extended periods of walking and/or standing, and occasional exertion of up to 30 pounds of force.
