- Manage and mentor a team of scientists and technologists.
- Ensure laboratory is fully staffed to meet production and customer needs.
- Develop, review, and train lab personnel on procedures for new and existing products.
- Oversee testing for all incoming plant and inventory samples.
- Maintain certification of lab equipment and assist with equipment maintenance.
- Act as a backup analyst in wet methods testing and develop into a LIMS subject matter expert.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Prior Analytical Lab Experience and First Line Leadership Experience Preferred.
- Familiarity with GC, LCMS, ICPMS, and other analytical equipment.
- Basic understanding of Water Chemistry and/or Ion Exchange Resin Technology Preferred.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, attention to detail, and strong record-keeping skills.
- Deliver high-quality results with attention to detail.
- Collaborate and contribute as a team member.
- Strong bias for action and commitment to safety.
- Proactive with the ability to learn and apply practical techniques.
- Enterprising in the face of change and effective in a laboratory environment.
- Normal color vision is essential due to the nature of laboratory work.
- Occasional business travel (<15%).
- 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 40-hour work week, additional hours may be required.
- Work may involve the use of standard lab jackets and safety glasses.
- Occasional lifting up to 30lbs and fieldwork may be required.
