- Some travel required to community programs (Specialty Foster Care and CCI Program). Travel is within a 60 mile radius of the Kennesaw campus. Company vehicle provided for travel purposes.

- Must be able to complete a two-week, paid new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm daily.

Being a Learning Specialist has its Advantages
As Learning Specialist at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer:
Located in Kennesaw, GA the Learning Specialist schedules and delivers training and development to Devereux employees and community programs (Specialty Foster Care and CCI Program) using a variety of instructional strategies and activities suited for adult learners. The Learning Specialist will monitor, evaluate, and record training activities as well as assist to create and develop training materials. In addition, the Learning Specialist will be responsible for new hire orientation, complete management and administrative tasks related to the Learning Management System (LMS), organizational compliance with licensing and training standards, entering, monitoring, analyzing and reporting data and file maintenance. The Learning Specialist will also help the Learning Manager to coordinate a team of certified trainers.
Some travel required to cover community programs. Travel will be within a 60 mile radius of the Kennesaw, GA location. A company vehicle is provided for travel purposes.

Qualifications:EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, Human Services or related field AND two (2+) years of formal training experience, preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
EXPERIENCE: One to three years of experience in a behavioral health care setting. Previous experience as a trainer or presenter is preferred. Certification in several knowledge areas is preferred. (e.g. Safe and Positive Approaches, Suicide Prevention, New Directions, First Aid/CPR, etc.) Must have skill in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel, general administrative and clerical skills and be willing to learn additional skills.
