The Role at a glance:
Como Town seeks a versatile Maintenance Technician team member to help maintain equipment, building maintenance, preventative maintenance, compressors, food service equipment and perform minor electrical duties at Como Town which is a 4-acre amusement park adjacent to the Como Zoo.
What you'll be doing:
Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance for individual or groups of attractions rides and other equipment typically utilized in theme park attractions including but not limited to: troubleshooting and repair of mechanical systems and attractions.
Respond to downtime, repair and ride recovery issues.
Diagnose system failures and provide immediate correction actions. Research defective mechanically controlled items/parts and instructional information to complete the repair process when needed.
Troubleshoot by referring to technical manuals and technical library while utilizing a systematic approach.
Input in ride logs:
completion of inspections, corrective action and/or repairs made, and lists applicable parts used.
Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, safe lifting practices and reporting of unsafe situations.
Keep all records up to date and current in an accessible, organized fashion. (i.e. logbooks, inspection forms, etc.)Ensure that the ride is clean and visually in compliance with manufacturer's specifications, guest and Como Towns expectations.
Help maintain ride parts inventory and notify the supervisor of any materials necessary to ensure safe, continuous operation.
Clean maintenance shop, including but not limited to stations, equipment, and tools.
Overtime may be required during peak periods.
