The school Receptionist will perform varied advanced administrative work unique to the daily operations of the school.

This includes but is not limited to maintaining official records, implementing administrative policies, and acting as a first-point of contact for visitors, parents and students.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
  • Two (2) years of experience working as an office assistant and/or clerical role.
  • One (1) year of experience in customer service.
  • Active Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) issued IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide office operations support such as receiving/screening telephone calls and visitors, scheduling meetings, conferences, seminars, and special events.
  • Welcomes incoming visitors at the front desk (including parents, students, prospective families, leadership) by monitoring their security signin, provide them with parking passes and approved visitor badges.
  • Maintaining recordkeeping systems, opening and reviewing incoming mail.
  • Interprets and explains established policies and procedures in response to inquiries from teachers, students and parents.
  • Access student data bases to input and retrieve student information in relation to attendance. This includes monitoring attendance phone line, tracking student tardies and/or early dismissals, take attendance and run report for every class period, contact parents and teachers regarding attendance issues.
  • Supports network wide attendance, including AOI, with data entry and review of state compliance procedures for student attendance reporting.
  • Assists in preparing and distributing school family and faculty correspondence
  • Monitor students working in the front office area.
  • Maintain and update marquee sign weekly.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal policies.
  • Improve systems and procedures.
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and communicate appropriately.
  • Ability to multitask in a high energy working environment.
  • Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and do word processing.
  • Knowledge of all office equipment and basic clerical skills.
  • Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.
  • Ability to articulate, represent professional demeanor and ability to take initiative.

LOCATION:
Immersion (Polytechnic Elementary School Campus - Mesa, Arizona)


TRAVEL:
Occasional travel may be required for site visits, meetings, trainings and/or conferences. Locations may vary and may require overnight stays.
