The Opportunity:


The Athletics department at the Prescott Campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is searching for a Assistant Men's Wrestling Coach to assist the head men's wrestling coach with teaching and coaching responsibilities with the men's wrestling team as well as to assist with recruiting and scouting.


Primary duties include:

  • 85% Evaluation, development and improvement of player skills; develop and implement practice plans to improve player skills; direct, ingame coaching; assist with or lead team and individual film sessions
  • 15% Evaluation and recruitment of potential studentathletes; breakdown and evaluation of opponent game film; prepare scouting report for assigned opponents and present the report to the coaching staff and team; weekly checkIn with current/past/potential studentathletes; other duties as assigned by the head coach
This is a salaried part-time position and requires frequent weekend hours and travel.

Qualifications:


  • High School (or GED) level ability in grammar, spelling, basic composition, and math.
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Basic knowledge of the sport of men's wrestling
