    PeopleShare is hiring for a Staff Accountant in Virginia Beach The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, 5+ years of accounting experience, and be a self starter

    Staff Accountant Job Details:

    • Schedule: 8am to 5pm, M-F
    • Pay Rate: $60 - $65k
    • Direct Hire
    Staff Accountant Job Description:
    • Analyze accounts, records, reports, accounts receivable and payable, journal vouchers, general and subsidiary ledgers and other accounting documents for accuracy and completeness
    • Preparing monthly financial information utilizing the applicable support systems
    • Duties include journal entries, coding invoices/vouchers, reconciling the balance sheet and analyzing variances
    • Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records
    • Analyze actual costs versus standard costs and prepare reports of variances
    • Compile cost data for preparation of operating budgets
    • Prepares other reports and assist in special projects and analysis as required or requested by supervisor.
    • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
    Staff Accountant Job Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • 5-10 years of accounting experience
    • Deltek and T&E experience preferred
    • Ability to reconcile and comprehend large amounts of data
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and SUMIFs
    • Self-starter who can work independently and execute projects efficiently
    • Able to work hands on within the various departments of the organization and communicate effectively up the chain of command
