Description

Engineer monitors and maintains the hotel's facilities and equipment to preserve brand image, and maximize life of facilities and equipment and optimize safety and comfort of guests, while maintaining company and legislative standards.

• Responsible for the daytoday maintenance of the property; working day, evening shifts and/or weekends a possibility.
• Develops and implements the maintenance activities to cover all tasks to be completed on a regular basis, plans for emergency situations.
• Practices regular preventative maintenance and upgrades, as necessary, all technical services & components of the building
• Ensures compliance with hotel's Occupational Health & Safety procedures.
• Supports the service personnel in any way possible to enhance guest services.
• Plans and implements corporate policies as directed by the Director of Engineering.
• Some maintenance duties inside/outside of the building, keeping the hotel's appearance at its best.
• Duties associated with the Engineer's position including but not limited to the above.

• Experience as a hotel Engineer.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• A "handson individual" knowledgeable in general maintenance, HVAC, woodwork, plumbing, electrical, drywall, grouting, grounds maintenance, boilers, small appliances, etc.
• Certifications will be an asset.
• Ability to deal with all levels of management in a professional manner.

• Ability to deal with guests in a courteous and pleasant manner
