    Job Title: Occupational Therapist

    Pay Rate: $55-60/hr

    Location: Staten Island, NY

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Contract Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience and a valid license issued by the NYSED. As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess, plan, and provide treatment for patients to help them regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

    Responsibilities:

    Patient Assessment and Evaluation

    • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive capabilities.
    • Develop individualized care plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
    • Collaborate with medical staff to refine patient goals and outcomes.

    Therapeutic Intervention

    • Provide tailored therapeutic interventions to help patients regain functional independence.
    • Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises, daily living skills, and adaptive equipment use.
    • Modify treatment programs to meet the changing needs of patients.

    Rehabilitation Program Management

    • Monitor and document patients' progress in electronic medical records.
    • Adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
    • Educate patients and their families about treatment programs, progress, and home care strategies.

    Team Collaboration

    • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive treatment plans.

    Compliance and Professional Development

    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Occupational Therapy through continuous education and professional development.
    • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid license as an Occupational Therapist issued by the NYSED (Primary Source Verification required).
    • At least 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
