• Perform regulatory and technical research as needed to support a project
• Communicate with client contacts to clarify job specifications and with laboratory contacts to establish monitoring and analytical methods
• Write reports by adding information from field forms and lab reports then conduct a thorough review for scientific accuracy
• Conduct IAQ, lead, and moldrelated work activities: initial inspection and investigations, bulk sampling, environmental sampling, remediation oversight, and pre/postremediation air clearance sampling
• Communicate with the Operations Manager about any changes to the project scope or availability to work
• Calibrate and use various types of field equipment, including pumps, electronic meters, and hand tools
• Conduct personal exposure monitoring and directread surveys for target substances
• Conduct walkthroughs and qualitative exposure assessments
• Conduct visual assessments and clearances
• Organize and perform Asbestos and Lead surveys in industrial settings
• Air monitoring and project management of industrial jobs
• Transport and maintain the chain of custody of samples collected to a preselected laboratory
• Complete detailed project notes about the health significance and environmental impact of field activities
• Submit timesheets, expense statements, field forms, and samples in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• A.S. or B.S. in natural science, physical science, environmental science, or related field OR GED with three years of construction/labor experience
• TWIC card preferred
• Refineries/Plant experience a plus
• Must pass alcohol and drug screen including hair follicle test and background screen
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Requires travel to various client locations local Houston area or long distance

$ $19.00 per hour
