Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews job ticket & discuss job specifications with Press Operator to ensure complete understanding.
- Verifies accuracy of raw material.
- Prepares and load stock. Monitor all material being used on the press [ink, waters, coating, etc.].
- Alerts press operator of any quality issues or potential problems of any kind during a run.
- Restocks & prepares materials for next shift. Relay complete accurate information to next shift on jobs scheduled & in progress.
- Assists Press operator in washing press.
- Enters complete, accurate, timely information into Hagen system. Carefully review Hagen sheets, make necessary corrections, & submit at the end of shift.
- Follows all specified procedures & complete all required documentation.
- Performs & document all scheduled maintenance. Ensure press is well maintained on a daily basis, & press is neat and clean.
- Cleans empty ink cans and maintain the cleanliness of the chemical room.
- Must fill out project information sheet for each job
- Responsible for the quality of stock going into the press
- Required to perform other duties as requested, directed and assigned
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of High School education or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 experience in a sheet fed printing facility
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must possess thorough knowledge of all kinds of stock, & what to look for on printed sheet
- Ability to throw smooth, even loads.
- Must possess skills in troubleshooting & setting up a feed board
- Must possess working knowledge of pressroom operations, workflow, equipment, materials, and products.
- Must possess good organization skills & attention to detail
- Must be able to work well with others, as well as work independently
- Required to read and write, follow verbal instructions and use simple math
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand and walk around the facility.
- Regularly required to use force to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment:
- Work performed in a shop environment where a noise level is moderate but on some instances might be required to wear ear protection is necessary
- Might be required to wear safety glasses
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Regularly exposed to dust, odors, and moderate noise
- Occasionally exposed to hot and cold temperature
Pay:
$ $23.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Printers & Binders: 1 year (preferred)
- Manufacturing: 1 year (required)
- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
Shift availability:
- Night Shift (preferred)
- Overnight Shift (preferred)
