Your tasks:

  • Introduction to the development environment Lattice Diamond IDE for Lattice FPGA
  • Commissioning of the Lattice ECP5 FPGA including the 5Gbit/s SerDes transceiver
  • Integration of multiple different on-board communication protocols (e.g. I2C, SPI, UART)
  • Testing and verification of functionality using a selected high-speed serial protocol (e.g. 3G-SDI)
  • Measurement and comparison of spectral power density of encoded and unencoded signals
  • Conducting various transmission tests under real conditions
  • Evaluation and interpretation of results

Your profile:

  • Studies in electrical engineering with a focus on telecommunications, communication technology or technical computer science
  • Knowledge of digital data transmission and signal processing
  • Experience in programming FPGAs with VHDL / Verilog
  • Experience with RF measuring devices such as spectrum analyzers
  • Teamwork, goal-oriented and punctual work ethic
  • Good English skills in speaking and writing
