    Description
    Zoox is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to help us build a world class robotaxi service.

    In this role, you will lead the engineering teams responsible for developing the software interfaces that directly impact riders' experiences.

    You will work with engineers across the company and will collaborate with researchers, designers, product, and program leaders to give these interfaces utility and ensure that they are intuitive and delightful.

    Lead a group of engineering managers and individual contributors, fostering their growth and building a strong bench of future technical leaders and people managers
    Develop, define, and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmaps for your organization, including metrics for success
    Collaborate with internal partners and users to solve complex cross-functional problems
    Use your influence to generate great outcomes
    Qualifications

    B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    10+ years software engineering experience
    5+ years software management experience, including leading multiple software development teams
    Proven track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional partners
    Experience with mobile and/or embedded applications
    Experience with system design & architecture
    Bonus Qualifications

    Advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    Strong knowledge of usability engineering as well as navigation, interaction, and graphic design
    Experience with distributed systems or client/server development
    Experience with transportation networks and/or mobility as a service
    Robotics or automotive experience
    Compensation


    There are three major components to compensation for this position: pay, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights.

    The pay range for this position is $$272,000 to $342,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level.

    Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.

    The pay range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.

    Zoox also offers a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (e.g. sick leave, vacation, bereavement), unpaid time off, Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights, Amazon RSUs, health insurance, long-term care insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, and life insurance.
