At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Cashier, Credentialing Coordinator to join our team.

The primary responsibility of the Cashier, Credentialing Coordinator is:

Responsible for entering all transactions into the ledger and into the computer system accurately and in a timely manner.
Compiles and reconciles daily deposit.
Reconciles daily batches to ensure data integrity
Responsible for the entire insurance credentialing process for all employed providers.
Tracks enrollment and reenrollment requirements for providers and the facility.
Review and corrects the Medicaid ERA for inappropriate credit balances after posting.
Ability to critically evaluate data retrieved across multiple platforms.
Gather and analyze data to locate and track gaps in data processing.
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to ensure optimal processing functions that impact billing and claims activity.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
Strong presence, professional image, and confidence in dealing with complex billing and reimbursement issues.
Knowledge of Medicare billing regulations, DRG's, fee schedules, third party billing.
Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and hospital information systems.
