Responsibilities:


  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the implementation of patient treatment plans.
  • Work closely with patients to execute therapeutic exercises and activities as prescribed by the treating therapist.
  • Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions, reporting any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Instruct and educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to be performed at home.
  • Assign specific exercises for the patient and help the patients do these exercises.
  • Use devices, such as walkers, and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
  • Use a variety of techniques, including stretching exercises and massage, to treat patients.
  • Assist patients when moving to and from the therapy area.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant documentation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Provide support in maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment.
  • Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy techniques and technologies.
  • Demonstrate safe and effective guarding techniques for patients with poor balance who are at risk for falls throughout therapy sessions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications:


  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • CPR certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment.
  • Detailoriented and organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Compassionate and patientfocused approach to healthcare.

Experience:


Working Hours:

Full-time position, (Monday-Friday) 8 Hours per day. Hours 8am-5pm. Flexible scheduling may be available.
