At Uniontown, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer (all genders) to join our team and be responsible for protection and control systems in FACTS - high voltage transmission projects. In this role, you will be working on technical solutions for projects related to reactive power compensation (FACTS / Synchronous Condenser).

As part of an international team of experts, you will be responsible for developing conceptual solutions and implementing technical solutions. Your tasks will include creating design specifications and designing hardware and software for station control systems. You will also conduct functional, performance, and customer acceptance tests at our test center in Forchheim.

One of the exciting opportunities in this role is the chance to gain valuable experience in commissioning projects both domestically and internationally.

Be our forward thinker

If you are interested in this position, you should:

  • Have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Automation Engineering
  • Have knowledge of Phasor Shifters (Synchronous Condensers) or FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Solutions)
  • Have a basic understanding of electrical power supply (medium and high voltage) and secondary technology
  • Preferably have experience with control, HMI, and protection
