Job summary
The Seasonal Maintenance Worker is a seasonal position that offers competitive compensation and PTO for seasonal employees.This individual will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings, parks and equipment in order to ensure park standards are met and parks are functional, safe and attractive for all users of the Park District. They will also provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating and enforcing Park District rules regulations and policies to park visitors.
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED equivalent some college preferred. They must be at least 18 years old have a valid driver's license good driving record pass a pre-employment drug test purchase steel-toed shoes work wear protective clothing as required prevent maintenance grounds experience preferred certification CPR first aid automated external defibrillator AED within month employment keep current ability solve problems arise perform tasks supervision highly motivated assume positive active role park even while working under potentially stressful conditions hot cold weather upset injured park visitors etc firm with park visitors youth adults enforce Park District rules make sound decisions secure safety well-being all park visitors facilities equipment.
