    Description
    Summary: Responsible for delivering excellent customer service to patients and healthcare facility. The primary role involves supporting healthcare providers with vital signs, documenting patient history and medications, maintaining charts, managing schedules, and handling phone inquiries.


    • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
      • Completing clinical data entry
      • Recording vitals and updating patient charts
      • Managing Certificates of Medical Necessities
      • Obtaining Prior Authorizations as needed
      • Processing DME orders for providers
      • Ensuring compliance with regulations
      • Handling calls, scheduling results, and coordinating follow-ups

    Competencies:

    • Customer Service: Manages customer interactions effectively, resolves issues promptly, and seeks feedback for improving service.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Focuses on conflict resolution, listens attentively, and manages interpersonal conflicts in a positive manner.
    • Communication: Communicates clearly, both verbally and in writing, and ensures information is directed to the appropriate healthcare provider.

    Qualifications:
    To excel in this role, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
    • BLS Certification
    • High School Diploma or GED, with a 2-year degree
    • Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
    • EHR/EMR experience (Preferred)
    • 1-year experience as a medical assistant or CNA (Preferred)

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficient in computer and organizational skills
    • Competent in using office equipment

    Working Environment:
    Majority of the time is spent in a typical service-oriented work setting.

    Physical Demands:
    • Regularly focuses, sees, talks, and hears
    • Communicates via phone, email, or other means
    • Sits, stands, and walks frequently
    • Occasionally bends, stoops, and lifts up to 25 lbs
