ResponsibilitiesThe Behavioral Health Tech assists in the admission process, answers client questions and assists client in adjusting to the program routineThe Behavioral Health Tech is the liaison between the client and the staff to report any changes in the clients physical or mental conditionThe Behavioral Health Tech is responsible for supervising clients with emphasis on client safety and wellbeingAssists with the admission process on new client admissions and orientation procedures and schedulesConduct 15 and 30 minute rounds accordingly depending on client LOC.
Records Inventory log of all personal belongings valuables during admission and return to the client upon dischargeValuables to be kept in the lockersFacilitate all orientation groups with clientsFills out required lab requisitions per protocolKnow where clients are at all timesDe-escalates AMA and other client problemsParticipate in all staff meetings as scheduledProvides liaison with staff and other tech to ensure that all clients needs are be metProvides supervision and ordering of mealsEnsure that garbage is disposed of properly after during/after each shiftMonitors group room to ensure cleanliness after each activityHands off information necessary for the evening Tech and staff at the end of the day shiftParticipates in shift turnover and ensures that the next shift has Tech on dutySupervise clients completing the Program with emphasis on client safety and well beingRemind clients of program rules and regulations as necessary and report infractions appropriatelyProvide emotional support for clients while referring them to therapy staff to deal with clinical issuesComplete incident reports according to policy in a timely, accurate mannerCommunicate with other staff as necessary to promote quality client careParticipate in maintaining clean, properly supplied and efficient work areasComplete UA Screen Collection per protocolObserve and report safety, maintenance problems
Interact appropriately with clients, showing them respect while maintaining boundariesMaintain professional demeanor at all timesExercise sound professional judgment and seek assistance as necessary to effectively manage client behaviorFollows all company policies and proceduresPerforms other duties assigne
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals struggling with substance abuse.
- Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior intervention plans accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Must pass a background check
