    Description

    We are partnering with an organization seeking a Senior Applications Developer with extensive experience in Oracle Order Management, Advanced Pricing, Inventory, Shipping Execution and SCM Modules. This position requires strong hands-on development experience to analyze, design, develop, test, document and implement programs and systems that meet business requirements.

    Senior Applications Developer Responsibilities:

    • Analyze, design, and develop new applications and enhancements based on business specifications and technical designs
    • Document application requirements and model current/proposed information and process flows
    • Ensure the existence of unit, system, and integration test plans, perform quality reviews of testing and coordinate testing across all teams
    • Review the work of other development team members to ensure consistency with business requirements
    • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation (program, system, change management, etc.)
    • Act as a subject matter expert in areas with extensive knowledge
    • Assist in project efforts including creating project plans, resolving scheduling problems, controlling projects and ensuring deadlines are met
    • Collaborate closely with the business to understand needs and design solutions accordingly
    • Provide third-level application support and may be required to provide 24-hour on-call support
    • Assist in disaster recovery site staffing and service level agreement determination

    Senior Applications Developer Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
    • Minimum of 7 years of in-depth applications programming and design experience
    • Extensive knowledge of applicable programming languages, tools, and information technologies
    • Proficiency in programming methodology, test plan development, development life cycle, and testing methods
    • Experience with unit and system testing
    • Experience in designing and implementing complex business applications
    • Project leadership experience
    • Solid knowledge of the supported business area of similar business experience

    This position requires onsite presence at the corporate office in Chicago at least twice a week. Candidates must have prior working experience in Oracle Order Management, Advanced Pricing, Inventory, Shippinf Execution and SCM Modules with a strong hands-on development background.
