    Description
    System One is currently seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Bridgeton , MO.


    Responsibilities:
    ~ Design controls systems for assembly and test equipment needed to support production processes.
    ~ Develop code and programs for equipment controls and user interfaces using several different platforms (C, C++, PLC)
    ~ Generate schematics and drawings for control systems.
    ~ Perform pneumatic assembly and electrical wiring.
    ~ Oversees equipment builds, qualifications, and implementations.
    ~ Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers at all manufacturing sites.
    ~ Investigate new technologies for manufacturing process needs.
    ~ DFMA analysis of both new and existing products
    ~ Provide technical advice and support for AME and R&D Engineering.
    ~ Assist in troubleshooting existing production equipment.
    ~ Other assignments as deemed appropriate by the supervisor and/or manager.
    ~10-20% work travel required.


    Qualifications:
    ~ Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering.
    ~3+ years' professional experience in a similar role, 5-10 years' professional experience preferred.
    ~ C, C++, PLC, and HMI programming and diagnostics experience.
    ~ Extensive knowledge of electronic parts and specifications.
    ~ Strong leadership skills working in a collaborative environment.
    ~ Proven Project Management experience.
    ~ Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
    ~ Experience assisting with NPIs.
    ~2D AutoCAD and schematic creation.
    ~ Powered holding and test equipment design experience.
    ~ Experience with robotic and automated cells, preferred.
    ~ Experience with 3D CAD software, Creo preferred.
    ~ Capital equipment procurement experience, preferred.
