    0 hours per dayEarly shift:
    6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.190 days per year$22.00 per hour (may increase with experience)

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


    • Required:
    Associate's degree in Early Childhood education, Child Development or related field from a two-year accredited college or university


    • Preferred:
    Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


    • Required:
    Certified or have the ability to become certified in Infant, Child and Adult CPR & First Aid


    • Preferred:
    Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate Certificate


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Essential duties must be performed on site. Other duties may be assigned.


    • Providing a safe and nurturing environment for each child
    • Lifting, diapering, feeding, washing, and sitting on the floor with children
    • Using the Highscope curriculum for weekly lesson planning
    • Administering formal and informal child assessments including Teaching Strategies GOLD and ASQ-3
    • Developing support staff roles and responsibilities for the classroom
    • Completing paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion
    • Participating in ongoing professional growth and training
    • Maintaining respect at all times for confidentiality
    • Completing necessary State and Federal reports
    • Communicating with parents/guardians to discuss progress and/or concerns in a timely manner
    • Communicating daily with parents/guardians
    • Documenting and share the important milestones in their child's day
    • Creating and leading a supportive, nurturing learning environment that encourages responsibility and motivation
