• Previous experience as a pet groomer or in a related field is preferred
• Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
• Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
• Strong animal handling skills, including the ability to safely restrain animals during grooming procedures
• Physical stamina to handle large or energetic pets, including the ability to lift heavy animals if necessary
• Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners and address their needs and concerns
• Knowledge of basic veterinary care is a plus (e.g., recognizing signs of illness or injury)
• Certification from a reputable grooming school is a plus
