Expected annual base salary range:
$87,480 to $136,000

JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager, Budgets leads a team of analysts and senior analysts that are completing budget and budget negotiation services.

This role has accountability for the performance and productivity of their assigned team ensuring operational goals are met. This role also supports the technical and professional development of their analysts.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The accountabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

  • Manage workload for a team of analysts and senior analysts.
Specific duties may vary depending on team assignment, but likely to include:


  • Assign work to specific analysts based on internal process and priority standards.
  • Track analyst capacity and ensure workload is evenly distributed.
  • Track analyst productivity, quality, and efficiency metrics to ensure team is meeting expected performance standards.
  • Lead regular team meeting to provide updates, gather team feedback, and ensure alignment on key operational objectives.
  • Support the technical and professional development of analysts on assigned team:
  • Set clear goals and expectations for analysts and provide consistent feedback relative to those goals and analyst performance.
  • Regularly monitor performance, make promotion recommendations, and ensure corrective action is taken when necessary.
  • Actively work cross functionally to gather feedback from other managers and process leaders that interact with assigned team members.
  • Hold regular checkins with each analyst to stay aligned on performance expectations/feedback, career development, and overall employee engagement/satisfaction.
  • Answer adhoc questions related to applicable services
  • Contribute to client onboarding discussions
  • Lead operational client update calls
  • Support training and development of newer analysts which may include:
  • Participation in formal training sessions
  • Providing regular feedback through daily interactions
  • Acting as a mentor/resource for new analysts
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in related field. Significant work experience in the specific field may be considered in lieu of a relevant degree.


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:


  • Competency in leading and developing a team of employees.
  • Familiarity with the clinical trial startup process.
  • Experience reading and interpreting clinical trial protocols.
  • Ability to independently develop complex clinical trial coverage analysis and/or budgets for a range of clinical indications including oncology and cardiology.
  • Ability to work in a performancedriven environment: a proactive, resultsdriven and goaloriented approach.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) with proven ability to translate complex concepts for newer employees and client representatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage team workload and priorities.
  • Experience making decisions utilizing company/team policies or other relevant guidance.
