- Technical understanding of the various product lines & features of Beckwood equipment, and how these features benefit end users
- Serve as primary liaison between company and 3rd party marketing firm for technical accuracies in print and digital marketing materials (including advertisements, company profiles, feature articles, etc.)
- Oversee 3rd party marketing firm to produce Quarterly Market Intelligence reports and submit to leadership. This report should include:
- Significant events from any competitors
- Trends within the industry (what are our competitors marketing)
- Any price comparisons that the sales team has generated from the competition (this info will need to come from the Sales Manager)
- Formalized Go to Market Plans for new product launches, explaining our marketing strategies and an analysis of where the new product fits within the current marketplace
- Oversee the development of marketing campaigns and strategies for the organization's product lines, ensuring that marketing spend is effectively allocated to various channels that produce the most efficient ROI while meeting revenue goals
- Develop launch plans for new or revised products, create strategies for increasing market share of existing products, and assist in retirement and communication planning for product decommissioning
- Prepare and manage an annual Marketing budget by collaborating with 3rd party marketing firm
- Evaluate the performance of marketing initiatives and revise strategy in response to results
- Work closely with sales to assess and support revenue activities with strategy and process revisions that include appropriate deliverables
- Interact with customers during headquarters visits as well as onsite visits at customers facilities as needed
- Plan and execute effective trade show strategies (booth layout, material design & execution, advertisement plans, transportation, show services, internal training / preparation, etc.)
- Identify industry events and evaluate for company sponsorship opportunities
- Analyze and interpret research meant to identify potential and existing customers, competitors, and markets for company products and coordinate outreach with leadership
- Provide reports, data, & metrics as requested by company executives
- Maintain up to date job and industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, etc.
- Review and approve product-line specific data sheets, promotional publications, presentations, advertisements, or brochures, ensuring that product lines are clearly and effectively communicated, maintaining a consistent corporate image throughout
- Deepen relationships with media to ensure the most effective messaging and positioning of the organization
- Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events
- Drive strategy for internal marketing collateral as needed (Newsletters, Office signage, brand standards guidelines, etc.)
- Learn and understand the company's products, features, and benefits at a level deeper than what is covered in general marketing content
- BA / BS in marketing or engineering or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Manufacturing or Engineering related industries
- High technical aptitude
