Summary
SITEC has an immediate opening for a technical writer.

This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year with work performed exclusively at the customer site.

The Technical Writer will support the customer's effort to improve Cybersecurity of the Information System.

  • Support the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of customer issuances: Operational Directives, Memos, Congressional Notifications, Emergency Directives, and technical documents.
  • Conduct and facilitate the document review/revision process to reconcile comments. Document and maintain comments matrix noting resolution. Coordinate comment adjudication with SME, author and/or the customer team.
  • Coordinate and track the Staff Processing Form (SPF) process with Action Officers for signature.
  • Write and edit technical documentation for all office issuances. Produce howto documentation and job aids for customer processes and procedures. Create and produce SOPs for customer processes, including SSOR, process flow documentation and format publications, technical drawings, in consultation with SME and other available resources.

Responsibilities


The technical writer will understand basic concepts (to include basic grammar concepts), responsible for writing technical copy for various types of documents.

They will aid in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides and manuals and technical publications. Gather technical information and prepare written text and maintain a current internal documentation library.

The writer will use multiple word processing and presentation tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio and will understand basic concepts and write technical copy for various types of documents for a program/project of similar complexity.


Basic Qualifications
All Qualified Applicants will have an ACTIVE Top-Secret Clearance with SCI access and poly.


Education
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.


Six (6) years of experience as a Technical Writer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Four (4) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
