Role Description
We are looking for a Financial Systems Implementation Specialist to:

  • Review and write test scenarios for an Oracle US Federal Financials Accounting System implementation
  • Validate completeness against requirements and the target state environment to ensure all business processes and integrations are tested
  • Monitor defects, maintain log of issues in Jira or other preferred tool for communication to Project Managers and leadership throughout the process

Revising Business Process Flows:
You will be responsible for updating existing business process flows using MS Visio. This task is crucial for visualizing and streamlining our business processes, ensuring they are efficient and up to date

  • Leadership in Meetings: Lead meetings focused on the live updating of Business Process Flows (BPFs). Your role will involve facilitating discussions, gathering input, and driving the adoption of updated processes among relevant stakeholders
  • Effective Communication: It's imperative that you communicate effectively with all appropriate stakeholders. This involves presenting updates, changes, and improvements in a clear, concise manner, ensuring all parties are aligned with the project's progress and objectives
  • Creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): You will also take on the responsibility of creating SOPs. This involves documenting the updated business processes and ensuring they are accessible and understandable for all team members. This documentation is key to maintaining consistency and quality in our operations

Your Experience:


  • Highly Desired / Must Have_
  • Experience with Oracle Financials (Accounting preferably)
  • Experience as an IT consultant in areas such as database design, systems analysis, network services, programming, and data management or related fields
  • Customer and relationshipfocused, processdriven, metricfocused, resultsoriented, organized, and selfdirected
  • Prior working experience in financial management data migration (preferred)
  • Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, SharePoint
  • Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to communicate confidently with multiple stakeholders, including but not limited to: C-Suite, Section/Branch Chiefs, PMs, etc.
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills
  • Highly motivated and organized with strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as collaboratively in a team environment

About You:


  • Education Requirements:_
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience with 2 to 4 years of related work experience
  • Clearance Requirements:_
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and hold Minimum Background Trust / Public Trust

This position offers a work-from-home arrangement specifically designed for Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) professionals.

Our team members enjoy the convenience of working from their homes while being located close enough to engage with RiverNorth employees and the federal agency.


While you will primarily work from home, the client may require as-needed meetings onsite at their offices in Arlington, VA & Washington, DC with mínimal notice at times.


RiverNorth maintains office spaces in Ashburn, VA, and Fairfax, VA, allowing our consultants to work from these locations if they choose.

It's important to note that certain activities, such as orientation, training, and company meetings, are conducted in person at our offices.

This setup is ideal for those who live in the DMV area and seek the flexibility of working from home yet remain connected and accessible for essential in-person engagements.
