Description
Supervises certified nursing assistants, determines work procedures; prepares work schedules, expedites workflow, evaluates, counsels and disciplines.

  • Investigate & Complete employee and resident incident reports
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing care services, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities
  • Handle scheduling and coverage needs of all assigned staff as necessary.
  • Communicate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality of care for residents.
  • Act as an involved member of the Wellness team by assisting with development and implementation of new wellness related programming.
  • Communicate with physicians to obtain verbal orders, regarding medications and care plans for residents.
  • Perform weekly audits of documentation, working with staff to make recommendations as needed.
  • Interpret policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, etc., as necessary.
  • Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments, etc., as necessary.
Must be a graduate of an approved PA Licensed Practical Nurse Program.

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice in this state. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies /personnel and the general public.
  • Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Must be able to relay information concerning a resident's condition.
  • Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel and support agencies.

The primary purpose of your job position is to provide clerical support at the nursing station important to the life in the neighborhood.

The support you provide includes telephone communications, typing, data entry, chart management, scheduling of personnel and requisitioning of medical supplies.


In conjunction with the Unit Manager/RN supervisor, the primary purpose of your job position is to utilize nursing knowledge and basic physical assessment skills in the development of and implementation of individualized nursing care plans to ensure that customer needs and all applicable regulations are met.


You will also assist in the orientation and supervision of staff, attend to the daily operation and assume a leadership role.
