The Role


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead all aspects of project development for Zeem's fleet charging depots.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's expansion into new markets and the growth of our presence in existing markets.

Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including developing business cases, analyzing electric vehicle transition models, evaluating fleet electrification prospects, assessing real estate opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Electric Vehicle Transition Analysis:_
  • Conduct indepth analysis of electric vehicle transition models to identify trends, market opportunities, and potential obstacles for our charging depots.
  • Assess the applicability of our services towards thirdparty charging needs and volume projections.
  • Fleet Electrification Evaluation:_
  • Evaluate the presence and size of fleets in target markets and assess their likelihood and timing of transitioning to electric vehicles.

Depot Placement:
_

  • Analyze real estate opportunities and suitable locations for electric vehicle charging depots, considering accessibility, infrastructure, and future growth potential.
  • Plan the initial and later stages of depot development, including determining the number of charging ports required.
  • Site Acquisition:_
  • Manage real estate transactions (option agreements, leases, and purchase agreements) from inception, through due diligence, commercial negotiation, closing and postclosing, collaborating closely with Zeem Legal, Engineering, and Operations teams, as well as outside consultants and advisors.
  • Directly negotiate Purchase and Sale documents with landowners.
  • Lead overall project management including: predevelopment management, feasibility, highest/best use, proforma development, rezoning, entitlements, design review, budgeting, planning and design. Coordinate with Zeem Construction Project Management team to manage construction milestone scheduling, services contracting of multidisciplinary project teams, conflict resolution, project implementation, project oversight and project closure.
  • Business Case Development:_
  • Create and present comprehensive business cases for entering new markets and expanding existing ones, based on projected customer demand and market analysis.
  • Market Proximity Analysis:_
  • Assess the potential customer base and fleets within a certain proximity of the EV charging depot or hub.
  • Analyze and identify key accounts and customers and work alongside partners to include market analysis with timing.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree Economics, Finance, Accounting, Communications, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in project development (wind, solar, BESS, or other infrastructure) or commercial real estate (broker, REIT, or developer).
  • 7+ years of experience in business development or sales, providing services or infrastructure support to large fleet customers.
  • Experience with electric vehicle charging, renewable energy, real estate, construction or electric utilities.
  • Thorough understanding of real estate contract structures
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and participate on crossfunctional teams to complete complex projects.
  • Fundamental understanding of electric vehicle charging infrastructure landscape (technologies, participants, active geographies).
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with an innate ability to influence others.
