    Description

    Director Warehouse Services - multi site

    The Director of Warehouse Services will be responsible for all aspects of the 3PL warehousing and logistical functions of the business. This role would report directly to the Executive leadership of the company and would have full control and responsibility for these functions with the goal of managing the entire order cycle to ensure complete customer satisfaction and maintain company profitability.

    Duties & Responsibilities:


    • Oversee warehouse operation and distribution at 3PL and perform necessary Inventory management activities.


    • Vendor management compliance activities. Vendor onboarding, vendor evaluation, and operational meetings with 3PLs.


    • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, and Vendors.


    • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency


    • Warehouse mapping


    • Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, and process shipments.


    • WMS process review and development. Suggest & champion new WMS applications


    • Resolve any arising problems or complaints.


    • Strong knowledge of liability insurance/ contract review and approval


    • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.


    • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.


    • Strategically locate and acquire 3PL warehouses.


    • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and operations.


    • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.


    • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security


    • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.

    Required Skills & Abilities:


    • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.


    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.


    • Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements


    • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.


    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


    • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices


    • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.


    • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.


    • Attention to detail.


    • Strong knowledge of Midwest market


    • Minimum of 7+ years of working experience

    PROCESS ENGINEERING – 25%

    • -Warehouse mapping


    • -WMS process review and development. Suggest & champion new WMS applications


    • Fluent in RF guns and all scanning processes both in/out

    INVENTORY MANAGEMENT & CONTROL – 30%

    CHAMPION CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT IN ALL DCs – 30%


    • -Space utilization & optimization


    • -Quality / production


    • -OS&D (Overages/Shortages/Damages) oversight

    • -OSHA regulatory
