    Senior Tax Accountant

    Lakewood, NJ

    $90,000 - $ 150,000

    Responsibilities:

    • Tax Compliance:
    • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
    • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax-related documents in adherence to regulatory requirements.
    • Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations, implementing necessary adjustments to compliance processes.
    • Tax Planning and Strategy:
    • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiencies and minimize liabilities.
    • Provide guidance on potential tax implications for business decisions and transactions.
    • Conduct research on tax issues and propose effective solutions to mitigate risks and optimize financial outcomes.
    • Financial Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze financial data to identify tax implications and opportunities for improvement.
    • Prepare financial reports and presentations outlining tax strategies, liabilities, and potential impacts on the organization's financial standing.
    • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax-related entries in financial statements.
    • Audits and Documentation:
    • Support and manage tax audits by governmental authorities, including responding to inquiries and providing necessary documentation.
    • Maintain comprehensive and organized tax records, ensuring compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
    • Client/Cross-departmental Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with clients, providing tax-related advice and guidance as necessary.
    • Collaborate with internal departments, such as legal, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment on tax-related matters affecting the business.
    Qualifications:
    • 6 years in public accounting
    • Real estate experience preferred
