We are looking for a Civil Field Surveyor to join our expanding Civil Team.

This individual should have extensive Civil surveying experience with construction layouts. This position will support the Civil team by working Carlson Construction Software 2020. You will also be preforming routine surveys and take offs form multiply jobsite's. The chosen individual should be able to work independently and in a team environment. They also must have Strong organizational skill and be detailed oriented.

This individual must be able to prioritize and coordinate their workload, while being flexible and effective in past-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Auto CAD Files
  • Obtain work assignments for design elements or CAD drafting from assigned project manager.
  • Review Supervisor field notes to create job calculations
  • Setup, use, and review data from the GPS Machine
  • Measure distance between Survey points and make Survey points
  • Reset survey stakes as needed
  • Cut and clear bush as needed for survey line
  • Preparing/Drafting/reviewing Surveys and Topographical Surveys
  • Survey Management by designing and developing CAD drawings and setting up project base files
  • TOPCON
  • Photogrammetry
  • Reviewing 2D and 3D Models
  • Communicate with the project manager team to prepare and compile data request and project schedules
  • Assist in preparing job orders for the crews to be dispatched for installation of controls
  • Have the ability to use hand tools as needed
  • Manage all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications / Competencies

  • 1 year of construction surveying experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent GPS experiences
  • Minimum of one year in the construction industry.
  • Experience with Carlson Construction Software 2020 (Preferred but not required)
  • Thorough knowledge of project documentation.
  • Must be mathematically inclined
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Quickbase, and Microsoft Outlook/Outlook Calendar.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, including evenings and weekends
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner.
  • Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily Psychical nature by standing, walking, use hands, tools, controls, reach with arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as well as lifting and/or moving up to 5075 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
  • Welllighted, heated and/or airconditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
  • The ability to work in hot environments/extreme weather conditions when visiting job sites.
  • This position regularly works outside and occasionally may include moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles and loud noise levels.
