    Position Summary

    Serves as part of the CRW Leadership team. Provide effective clinical supervision to CRW therapy staff that reinforces, supports, and coaches on patient-oriented therapy to assist individuals in achieving self-sufficiency and positive treatment outcomes by combining traditional psychotherapy with a practical, problem-solving approach that creates a dynamic and efficient path for change and problem resolution. Provide direct care to individuals enrolled in treatment at CRW. This is an In-person position.

    Responsibilities
    • Serves as part of the CRW Leadership Team. Contributes to visioning, decision-making planning.
    • Acts as backup to the Clinical Service Director when they are off site.
    • Provide clinical supervision to therapists.
    • Provide long and short-term psychotherapy to clients and collateral family members where appropriate (including crisis intervention) in person onsite or Telehealth as appropriate based on NYS OMH criteria.
    • Facilitate time limited and ongoing group therapies.
    • Provide Field Supervision to Social Work and/or Mental Health Counseling interns.
    • Carry a case load of no less than 25 and provide clinical direct service to individuals, couples and families impacted by substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders via individual, group, and case management modalities.
    • Meet productivity standards of 70%
    • Utilize concurrent documentation in electronic health record (eCR) in compliance with NYS-OMH regulations and N.Y.C. Department of Health and Mental Hygiene requirements to include periodic assessment scales; progress notes; treatment plan and treatment plan reviews, incident reports, and encounter forms.
    • Collaborate with Case Manager & Peer Advocate on shared clients.
    • Refer clients to appropriate community resources for case management issues/advocacy, e.g., legal, housing, health, education, vocational, entitlements.
    • Maintain working relationships as needed with hospitals, nursing homes, entitlement sources, legal advocates, and other social service agencies.
    • Participate in all agencies clinical staff/multidisciplinary/case conference meetings.
    • Participate in all in-service trainings and avail self of off-site ongoing continuing education trainings/workshops.
    • Attend and be prepared (via agenda) all supervision sessions.
    • Use time efficiently and is personally well organized.
    • Keep Directors informed of progress, issues, crises, incidents, and problems to be addressed.
    • Provide other clinical and/or administrative duties as requested by the CS Director.
    • Participate in after-hour phone coverage pool. [Stipend provided]
    Qualifications
    • LCSW plus four (4) years clinical experience
    • Familiarity with a range of therapeutic interventions: play therapy, family therapy, trauma informed care, CBT, DBT, ACT and psychodynamic approaches to treatment.
    • Knowledge of substance use disorder and co-occurring evidenced based treatment methodologies and modalities, and experience providing direct services, screenings, and assessments to both uncomplicated and complex cases.
    • Strong engagement skills and knowledge of age related, life stages, mental health conditions and harm reduction recovery.
    • Experience with adult mental health 55+, knowledge of aging process, life transitions and awareness of Domestic/Intimate Partner/Gender based Violence issues, as well as GLBTQ+/gender nonbinary or questioning communities, and communities of color.
    • Knowledge of New York State OMH documentation requirements/NYC DOHMH reporting/documentation requirements.
    • Alignment with agency standard of ethics, conduct and organization policies.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to accomplish client goals and adapt to changing program environment.
    • Good communication skills, self-starter with ability to work independently and to interact with all levels of staff, both internally and externally.
    • SIFI Field Instructor Certified with Field Supervisory experience with Social Work and/or LMHC interns.
    • Must achieve goals beyond minimal levels of performance.
    • Must be able to establish priorities and a course of action for handling multiple tasks.
    • Ability to satisfactorily perform other duties upon request by the Program Director.
    • Knowledge and ability to provide brief techniques, such as crisis intervention and solution-focused approaches.
    • Ability to provide long-term approaches when treating chronic mental health disorders or disabilities.
