- Recruits, screens, and schedules participants for study per protocol.
- Obtains informed consent, administers interviews, intervention, and collects urine samples for testing.
- Assists in training staff on study procedures including how to administer informed consent, interviews, intervention, and collect urine samples for testing.
- Assists in ensuring adherence to recruitment and study protocols and completion of staff assignments.
- Performs quality control of data collected to ensure it is accurate and provides feedback to research staff.
- Manages databases for tracking and recruiting research participants and collecting data in REDCap.
- Assists Clinical Research Specialist with monitoring productivity goals of research staff and provides detailed reports to Principal Investigator.
- Assists in completing and maintaining IRB documentation and approval, including consent forms, study instruments, modifications, continuing reviews, and data sharing.
- Assists Principal Investigator with preparation of reports and slides for meetings, publications, NIH progress reports and NIH grant applications.
- Monitors and purchases study supplies and submits research participant payments.
- Position is hybrid and includes work at the office and work from home.
- Willingness to work two evenings a week and two weekends a month.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with various software packages (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, have strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact confidently and professionally with adults of all ages.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions.
- Some knowledge of database management.
- Prior human subjects research experience.
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or a related field plus a minimum of one year of relevant experience; a combination of work and education equaling five years may substitute for this requirement.
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).

Position Summary
This position will assist the Principal Investigator and Clinical Research Specialist in the daily management of a multi-level precision medicine trial at the medical center. Work will include interaction with patients and physicians in primary care clinics to implement and evaluate a precision medicine trial that aims at improving clinical practice and patient behavior such as physician and patient uptake of tobacco treatment and overall tobacco treatment effectiveness.
