Job Duties
The successful candidate will provide legal counsel and representation to the Virginia Birth-Related Neurological Injury Compensation Program ("BIF") and its Board, and the Commonwealth Health Research Board ("CHRB").
The representation will include reviewing and analyzing medical records, conducting research, conducting all aspects of discovery, including motions practice, preparing medical records designations, drafting pleadings and briefs, and representing BIF in litigation before the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission and in Virginia state courts.
In addition, the successful candidate will attend meetings of the BIF Board and will provide legal advice and training to the BIF Board, executive staff and employees.

Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of civil litigation experience in federal or state court, as well as experience in state administrative litigation, is preferred but similar litigation experience will be considered.
