Description

The Brookmere Hotel and Clover Restaurant & Bar, opening in November 2024, is currently looking for a dedicated, well-organized, and outcome-oriented Director of Catering to lead our team of hospitality professionals.

The Brookmere Hotel and Clover Restaurant & Bar, managed by Hay Creek Hotels, is an exciting development project in Saratoga Springs, New York, located near the Saratoga Racetrack and Saratoga National Golf Course.

The 10-acre site previously known as Longfellows Hotel, Restaurant, and Conference Center will be transformed into a new 88-room upper-upscale hotel, a full-service restaurant and bar with a charming outdoor porch, a spa, a banquet facility with 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and exclusive access to Lake Lonely. Bonacio Construction is leading the development in partnership with Hay Creek Hotels. The property is set to open its doors in November 2024.


Job Summary:

  • Seek out hotel room, party, banquet, and event catering business.
  • Create annual marketing plans and set ambitious long and short-term sales goals based on past achievements.
  • Collaborate with operational managers and supervisors to ensure seamless execution of events and adherence to customer requirements.
  • Negotiate event details and contracts with clients.
  • Lead catering department's solicitation efforts through effective communication.
  • Visit potential clients according to company standards.
  • Coordinate arrangements for group functions and obtain necessary event details.
  • Develop detailed Banquet Event Orders as per client specifications.
  • Manage all social group, catering, and banquet sales activities to optimize hotel revenue.
  • Prepare various reports including forecasts and booking pace reports.
  • Represent the hotel at wedding trade shows and community events.
  • Research wedding and social industry trends for new marketing strategies.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate on sales and marketing plans and implement them effectively.
  • Maintain client information and booking records meticulously.
  • Stay updated on social group rates and competitive data for informed strategies.
  • Coordinate with front office manager on group bookings and billing.
  • Participate in various meetings and training sessions.
