    Student Success Data Analyst - Job Listing - The College of Charleston


    Job Description
    - The Student Success Data Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making processes directly related to student success and retention within the institution.
    - This position contributes to the Offices of Institutional Research and Student Success by providing top-notch reporting solutions and analyses to enhance outcomes for the Colleges students and enrollment management activities.

    Minimum Requirements
    - Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics/statistics, engineering, management information science, data processing, or a related field. Experience with Tableau, Cognos/Argos, SQL, and/or SAS is mandatory. Proficiency in data mining and working in a higher education environment is desirable.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Experience with Tableau, Cognos/Argos, SQL, and/or SAS.
    • Proficiency in SAS programming.
    • Advanced data extraction, documentation, analysis, and reporting skills.
    • Ability to analyze and present data using various statistical methods.
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
    • Understanding of FERPA regulations.
    • Effective communication and multitasking skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    - Strong organizational skills and experience managing complex projects.
    - Familiarity with higher education information systems like Ellucian Banner and related tools such as Salesforce and IPEDS.

    Additional Comments
    - Some travel might be required for professional development activities.
    - Limited remote telecommuting might be an option for this role.
