    IEM (Industrial Electric Mfg.) is the largest independent full-line manufacturer of custom electrical distribution and power quality equipment in North America. IEM is delivering customer-specific solutions to meet the ever-changing power requirements of growth industries across the world. This position offers an exciting opportunity within an innovative, growing company, with a backlog of bookings that go beyond 3 years.

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    To support to the local engineering team and engineering manager.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    · Provide CAD support for the engineering team on an as needed basis

    · Work with IEM systems to create bill of materials when needed

    · Utilize IEM configuration software to design standardized equipment

    · Creating detailed wiring diagrams for production based on engineered designs

    · Act as interface between production and the engineering team

    · Work with production leads to bring issues to engineering

    · Provide regular updates to engineering team on equipment production status

    · Generate reports at routine intervals for upcoming commitment dates, milestones, etc.

    · Provide on-boarding support for new engineers

    · Must have experience with 2D CAD software (AutoCAD Preferred)

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    · Technical institute certificate or equivalent professional experience preferred.

    · Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)

    · Working knowledge of Autocad drafting software
