Payroll/HR Clerk

PAYLOCITY (preferred) ADP PAYROLL PROCESSING EXPERIENCE
Summary:
Compile and record employee time and payroll data. Using the company's payroll provider (Paylocity), computes employees' time worked, production and commissions. Record and post wages and deductions and prepare paychecks. Will have additional duties of general Human Resources responsibility including staff level recruiting
Essential Functions
- Process and transmit the weekly, biweekly, COS, special runs and bonus payrolls ensure payroll is accurately processed (reconciling time and attendance issues) and on time using reports to verify accuracy.
- Administers and tracks garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) ensure and monitors that the appropriate deductions are being withheld and sent to the appropriate services
- Teach and assist employees with employee selfservice
- Completes and sends requested verification(s) of employment
- Completes wages statement requests for workers comp and or disability providers
- Assist with new hire paperwork assist HR with the onboarding process at the
- General Ledger journal entries completes and reconciles the general ledger journal entries accurately and timely
- Compile payroll reports completes verification reports ensuring the accuracy of each processed payroll.
- Assists all Manager/Supervisors and their respective employees as needed with their payroll needs
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies:
- Human Resource and Payroll Processing experience
- Technical experience using Microsoft products emphasis with using Excel
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ethical conduct
- Time management
- High level of diplomacy required
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open and close cabinets or stand as necessary.
Position Type
This is a full-time position. days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Required Educations and Experience
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent college or technical school or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
