    Sales Development Representative

    The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for business development activities revolving around connecting sales with warm, inbound leads. SDRs proactively generate new sales leads, usually with the goal of passing them on to Account Managers. They may contact inbound leads (from Ti's website, for example) proactively identifying new accounts using screening techniques, referrals, and prospecting to potential customers within a territory.

    The successful team member will be required to provide excellent customer service and apply proven problem-solving skills to help identity, communicate, and qualify each new lead by using deep product knowledge to determine if there's a good fit, in regard to the customer's needs, timing and budget. The ultimate goal of an SDR is to find out as much as possible about a lead's company, pain points and need for a solution they pass the "qualified" lead onto the sales team to pursue.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assumes responsibility for assigned customers; actively sells products and services via telephone and email.
    • Identifies and develops new and existing marketing opportunities through mail, research, cold calling, and trade show leads.
    • Creates account strategies to deliver on annual growth, price and mix objectives.
    • Devises a strategy to connect proactively with all customers within assigned territory to understand the customers landscape, needs, expectations and how to best deliver the value of Ti based on those needs.
    • Follows a systematic approach to call planning, call execution and call follow-up.
    • Handles daily work such as quotes, complaints, and collections, and serves as an intermediate link between the company and the customer.
    • Performs general sales administration, reports etc. as and when required.
    • Works with customer service team to coordinate sales activity and expedite orders when required.
    • Occasionally travels with Field Sales staff, trade shows and sales meetings.
    • Participates in the weekly sales team meetings to surface issues and align on activities and objectives.
    • Builds and maintains the forecast.
    • Remains current on territory and market trends.
    • Promotes and sells new product innovations and execute quarterly Marketing campaigns.
    • Proactively identifies new target accounts using screening techniques, referrals, and prospecting to potential customers within a territory.
    • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred).
    • 0–3 years prior sales/customer service or related experience required. Ideally within B2B manufacturing/printing/chemical or packaging environments.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Solid knowledge of Industry, products, and applications.
    • Good written, verbal and telephone skills.
    • Understanding of applicable computer systems.
    • Proven sales negotiation skills with strong business acumen.
    • Customer-Centric.
    • Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues.
    • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Effective meeting management.
    • Strong ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Ability to develop and foster strong relationships over the phone.
    • Basic negotiation, financial, mathematical, and business acumen skills needed.
    • Proficiency with applicable computer systems.
    • Ability to Travel < 10%
