    Description
    Accountants, working with Vaco gives you anadvantage over your competitionthrough relationships with the human resources manager and hiring managers directly. We are currently looking to fill our client's Staff Accountant position and we want to hear from you Think of us as an advocate who willpromote your strengthsand prepare you for your interviews, supplying you with key info on our client.
    The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting various financial functions, including but not limited to, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

    Staff Accountant responsibilities:
    • Assisting with month-end activities and creating journal entries for multiple clients, each with different levels of engagement and complexity.
    • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Support the year-end audit process by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
    • Analyze financial data and prepare various financial reports for management review.
    • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate and timely financial information.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
    • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
    Qualifications for Staff Accountant:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field, required
    • 2-3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant position
    • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
    • Prior experience working with multiple entities or multiple clients.
    • Skilled in using various accounting software and experience in troubleshooting common accounting program problems

    • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;

    With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
