    Description

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs skilled repair and maintenance of motor equipment.
    • Inspects and troubleshoots gasoline and diesel internal combustion engine-powered vehicles and other engine-powered equipment.
    • Perform tune-ups, repair electrical systems, adjust brakes and clutches, adjust or replace carburetors.
    • Perform front-end work such as wheel alignments, remove and replace clutches and transmissions, remove and disassemble diesel and gasoline engines, replace faulty or work parts.
    • Grind valves, perform engine overhauls, and perform auto bodywork and related welding and metal working duties.
    • Perform preventative maintenance duties.
    • Assist with grass cutting and snow removal.
    • Assist in transporting caskets to gravesites.
    • May perform other duties related to the day to day operations of the Park/Forestry/Cemetery department.
    QUALIFICATIONS AND ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS.


    • Knowledge of safety and operational skills of all cemetery/landscape equipment.
