- Support the fractional controller's weekly cash review process
- Prepare monthly financial reporting package including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and supporting schedules
- Maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable aging reports
- Assist in preparing cash reporting and cash position summaries
- Maintain reporting inputs for the 13-week cash flow forecast
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for review by the fractional controller and ops director
- Assist with budget vs. actual reporting as needed
- Ensure accounting entries are recorded in accordance with applicable tax requirements and maintain supporting documentation for tax reporting
- Support the preparation and timely filing of required quarterly and annual tax reports in coordination with external tax advisors
- Maintain organized financial records and schedules needed for tax filings, audits, and regulatory reporting
- 3+ years accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Experience performing monthly account reconciliations
- Experience supporting month-end close
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks)
- Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required- Equivalent professional accounting experience will be considered
- Experience working in a product, manufacturing, or inventory-based business
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working independently
- Proactive about identifying and resolving discrepancies
- Communicates clearly with operations and leadership
- Accounts payable and receivable processes run smoothly

Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time Staff Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting operations of our growing business. This role ensures that financial records are accurate, organized, and up to date while supporting leadership with reliable financial information.
The Staff Accountant will handle core accounting functions including accounts payable, cash deposits, reconciliations, collections, and month-end preparation. The role will work alongside an external fractional controller who provides financial oversight, reporting, and cash forecasting.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping financial systems organized, accurate, and running smoothly in an operational business environment.

The duties of this position can be performed in an office setting and well as a home office.
