Location/Division Specific Information


This position is located within the Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division of the Life Sciences Solutions Group at Thermo Fisher Scientific.


How will you make an impact?

What will you do:


  • Guide the development of copy and creative content for NGS clinical hematologyoncology markets, appropriately positioning products within compliance guidelines, while conveying strong value propositions and clear product differentiation
  • Develop sales training, customer education materials, and marketing plans in collaboration with product management, global marketing, medical affairs, and commercial teams
  • Develop a robust lead generation and sales opportunity funnel through promotional initiatives and marketingled events such as webinars and tradeshows
  • Successfully engage with advertising agencies and marketing project managers to deliver highquality assets, including, but not limited to, creative direction and content for print and digital collateral, PR, social media, customerfacing presentations, regional tradeshow properties and promotional materials
  • Maintain and analyze campaign metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities
  • Maintain knowledge of hematologyoncology diagnostic industry trends and competitor activity
  • Manage marketing budgets and optimize the promotional mix of campaigns to achieve a high return on investment
  • Act as a brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and communicating our multibrand strategy in all aspects of our marketing programs
  • Maintain relationships and projects with external collaborators such as customer KOLs, pharmaceutical partners, patient advocacy groups, and sales channel partners

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required _(preferably in molecular biology, genetics, or other related scientific field)_
  • Master's degree in relevant scientific field or business administration preferred

Experience

  • 4+ years of handson experience in marketing, sales, and/or molecular assay development with increasing scope and responsibility in the genomics, molecular diagnostic, or oncology arenas preferred.
  • Prior sales, marketing, or technical experience with nextgeneration sequencing technologies and/or oncology diagnostics is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Selfstarter and collaborative within project teams, and successful track record working in matrix environments
  • Exceptional skill managing complex marketing projects with a strong attention to detail
  • Adept at building and maintain relationships with customers and key opinion leaders
  • Strong creative intuition on design and messaging that resonates with customers and an ability to learn from previous campaigns to improve on performance
  • Ability to manage project scope, budget, and schedule to achieve timely results
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experienced and adept with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $110,000.00-$140,000.00.


This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
