Description
The Machine Operator is responsible for the productivity, efficiency, quality and safety of assigned production processes. We strive to cross-train in four departments within the operation: Drawing, Annealing, Respool, and Processing.The job requires the ability to know and be productive in each of the capacities for purposes of maximizing flexibility of the operation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain uptime of the machine pertaining to setups, basic mechanical problems, quality issues, etc.
- Efficiency of equipment and attainment of production schedules as defined by the supervisor
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area
- Measures/tests finished product with proper tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications based on customer needs
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma / GED preferred
- Good math and computer skills
- At least one year of related experience in manufacturing required
- Must pass preemployment drug screening and background check
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
- Attendance and punctuality is essential for all employees to maintain production
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Pays close attention to detail and very thorough
- Ability to follow written and/or verbal instruction
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods working on feet
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced
- Frequently walk, twist, turn, bend, squat, reach, push, pull
- The use of various hand tools
- Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 80 pounds

Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
