Rip Van is seeking a dynamic and organized Part-Time On-Site Office Manager in New York. As the Office Manager, you will be key to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our office space.
Your role will encompass a range of administrative and facilities management responsibilities, with a focus on mail organization, shipping and materials management, custom sample box packing, building management liaison, and office supplies and inventory management.
You'll be supporting a rockstar team of largely remote team members who value making quick and informed decisions and executing with a 'can do' attitudeWhat you will do:

Mail Organization: Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages.

Shipping and Materials Management: Coordinate the shipment of materials, products, and supplies to clients and partners.

Custom Sample Box Packing: Assemble and pack custom sample boxes for distribution to clients and potential customers. Monitor and reorder sample box materials as needed.

Building Management Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for building management and maintenance staff. Communicate and coordinate office maintenance and repair requests.

Office Supplies and Inventory: Maintain an organized inventory of office supplies and reorder as necessary.

Office Organization: Ensure the office is well-organized and presentable at all times.

Ad-Hoc Projects/Tasks: Execute additional administrative or office-related tasks/projects as needed, for example (not limited to) ordering lunch for an in-office group meeting, waiting for repair people to arrive

Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Highly reliable and punctual
- Proven experience in office management or a related role.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of shipping and mailing processes is a plus.

- Requires full range of body motion including walking, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eyehand coordination
- Occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds
- May require irregular work hours
Compensation:
Pay is hourly, commensurate with experience
