The AdventHealth Diabetes Institute is seeking a dynamic and energetic, clinically-focused endocrinologist to join our team and be based in Apopka, Florida (just a few miles northwest of downtown Orlando).
The mission of the AdventHealth Diabetes Institute is to improve the lives of people with diabetes, promote a healthy lifestyle, deliver excellence in clinical care and education, and conduct research leading to diabetes prevention and a cure.
The new physician would help start a new outpatient practice location and be part of our larger team over 20 endocrine providers covering multiple locations around the Central Florida area.
The AdventHealth Diabetes Institute is a full-service, integrated practice, providing endocrinology and diabetes care, as well as comprehensive diabetes and nutrition education services.
We also participate in clinical research in the areas of diabetes, obesity and metabolism in partnership with our Translational Research Institute for Metabolism and Diabetes.
The AdventHealth Diabetes Institute serves the greater Orlando area across the AdventHealth Central Florida Division.The main office is situated in over 20,000 sq ft of beautiful new office space on the campus of AdventHealth Orlando, a 1,364 bed tertiary referral hospital.
Candidates must be committed to delivering transformational clinical care within the outpatient and inpatient settings. In addition, there may be opportunities to participate in teaching and clinical research for qualified and interested candidates.Requirements:
Physician must be fellowship trained and have active board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine with board certification or board eligibility (within five years of completion of training) in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
Practice DescriptionThis is an employment opportunity through AdventHealth Medical Group, (website) a 900+ physician, multi-specialty organization. AdventHealth Medical Group is a sister organization of AdventHealth Orlando. and is under our parent company, Adventist Health System.
This model offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package that includes occurrence-based malpractice coverage, health insurance for the physician and his/her family, relocation expenses, paid leave days, a generous 403b retirement plan, CME days and a CME allowance.
This aligned model and practice management experience provides the opportunity for the physicians to focus on the clinical aspects of medicine.
