    Open Position: Software Engineer

    Reports to: Manager of Software Engineering

    Location: Remote

    Responsibilities:
    We are in need of a skilled Software Engineer to join our data team at HST Pathways. As a member of the data team, you will have a key role in the development and maintenance of our software solutions, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with team members. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and expertise in SQL queries, AWS CloudFormation, and Step Functions.

    • Collaborate with diverse teams to create, develop, and maintain software solutions aligned with business needs.
    • Craft efficient SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
    • Leverage AWS CloudFormation to provision and manage infrastructure resources efficiently and at scale.
    • Architect and implement AWS Step Functions to streamline complex workflows and automate business processes.
    • Engage with customers via Microsoft team meetings.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to ensure smooth operation of software applications.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • Demonstrated experience as a Software Engineer with a robust portfolio showcasing proficiency in SQL queries, AWS CloudFormation, and Step Functions.
    • Outstanding communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members and customers.
    • Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
    • AWS certifications in relevant areas would be advantageous.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
