We, the Regional Association Ruhr, are looking for a landscape ecologist for our self-operating institution RVR Ruhr Grün in the department of "Ecological Common Good Services" in Newport Beach, CA.

Responsibilities:


Ecological Land Fund Management

  • Planning and implementation of ecological concepts for nature conservation, maintenance and management of the association's own areas
  • Success control and monitoring of nature conservation measures in open land, forests and special sites
  • Planning, implementation and monitoring of various species protection measures
  • Development of concepts for compensation measures, ecoaccounts and land pools
  • Planning and establishment of ecoaccounts
  • Negotiations with project developers regarding compensation areas and coordination of compensation measures with the responsible authorities
  • Coordination of compensation areas and measures, as well as implementation and acceptance by internal and external stakeholders
  • Cooperation with authorities and associations

Strategic tasks, project management, project development

  • Analysis and ecological assessment of the association's own areas
  • Participation in the development and implementation of various plans and measures (landscape planning, maintenance and development planning, emergency measures concepts, habitat management plans) internally and externally

Marketing, contract matters, financial planning, budget, fundraising

  • Acquisition of replacement funds for forestry and landscape management/ecological measures from association members and regional forestry offices within the framework of the ELFM
  • Contract awards according to the Procurement and Contract Regulations for Construction Services
